Hi, I am Kassandra Peloquin a current first-year at UNE. I grew up in Massachusetts I was born in Worcester but have lived in the town next to it Rochdale I always use Worcester as a landmark for people since not everyone knows the area. I graduated from Shepherd Hill Regional High school where I participated in clubs such as best buddies and show choir. While at UNE I major in Medical Biology. I love the sciences and hope to explore my passions for them further in college. My favorite part of science is being able to run labs and experiments. I hope in my future to either be in a lab conducting research and hopefully working with patients. During Highschool I took this biomedical pathway that allowed me to learn more about the medical field, what’s happens and what to entail. In my senior year of high school, I did a capstone project for the pathway where I did research on sickle cell anemia and tried finding a different way to help patients manage their pain. If there one thing I hope for the future is to be able to go back and work more on my project since I saw a lot of potential of the help it could bring not just within the sickle cell community but with other hidden disease as well.
